Phacoemulsification with IOL Implantation |
|
| Phacoeemulsification refers to modern cataract surgical technique in which the eye’s internal lens is emulsified with an ultra sonic hand piece and aspirated from the eye.
Aspirated fluids are replaced with irrigation of balanced salt solutions thus maintaining the Anterior Chamber as well as cooling the hand piece.
Phaco Surgery can be done either with local anesthetic injection or drops.
The incision in phaco surgery is just 2.5mm and it is self Sealing incision which does not require use of any suture.
The foldable lens is implanted can either be monofocal or multi focal depending on patients choice.
The Surgery is done on a day care basis and the patient can return home after the surgery on the same day itself. |

LASIK is "laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis"
Lasik is type of refractive surgery done for correcting myopia, hyperopia and Astigmatism.
By this procedure the patient gets freedom from glasses and contact lenses.
Lasik is an extremely popular procedure because of the minimal time taken and immediate recovery.
Lasik surgery is a day care procedure in which after applying anesthetic drops and EPITHELIAL flap is raised and the cornea is reshaped using excimer.
The whole procedure takes only 15 mins and both eyes are done at the same time. |

Intralase |
|
 |
The IntraLase Method is a 100% blade-free technique used to perform the critical first step in the LASIK procedure, creating the corneal flap.
The creation of the corneal flap prepares the eye for the second step of the LASIK procedure, where an excimer laser is used on the inner cornea to correct vision.. |
